Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari has left Dhaka for home this evening.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen saw her off at Hazrat Shajalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday (March 23).
Earlier, a VVIP aircraft of Nepal Airlines (A320), carrying the Nepalese president along with her entourage, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:00am on Monday (March 22) on a two-day official visit to attend the celebrations of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.
Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid received his Nepalese counterpart with a bouquet at the airport.
This was the first visit of a Nepal president to Dhaka. The Himalayan state’s president visited Bangladesh at the invitation of her Bangladeshi counterpart.
