About 55,000 teachers will be recruited soon in the educational institutions enlisted under Monthly Pay Order (MPO) facility.
Due to the case, the recruitment of teachers in these institutions has remained suspended for a long time.
According to ministry sources, the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has sought an opinion from the law ministry regarding the case halting the recruitment of teachers so that teaching in educational institutions is not hampered after the coronavirus situation comes under control. Activities regarding the recruitment of teachers will be started soon once the opinion is received.
While talking on the issue on Monday (February 15), NTRCA Chairman Ashraf Uddin said, “We can’t complete the recruitment process of teachers although posts for more than 57,000 teachers remain vacant. However, the process of appointing teachers in 55,000 posts is set to begin soon.”
A letter has been issued seeking the opinion from the law ministry in this connection. If the law ministry gives go-ahead, activities regarding the recruitment of teachers will start after taking permission of the ministry of education, he added.
